#the100dayproject | 1-20

21 days down & 79 days more to go...

I've been wanting to do this #the100dayproject & decided to keep it as simple as possible so I could still keep up with it even if we are in Philippines. I'm doing a collection of inspirational quotes which I will be printing on 3x4 journal cards or patterned papers, stamp the date & number sequence at the back, and the bind it into a mini book after 100 days.  Here's my first 20 of the #the100dayproject, my 100 days of quotes.

1 - 10

11-20
You can still participate if you like. You can still catch up or start from day 1 at your own pace. You can read here to learn more about this project which is initiated by Elle Luna & The Great Discontent

Hoping to keep this going until the 100th day & I already have a new #the100dayproject after this. Excited to start, in 12 weeks.

Will have to delay a week more on posting my weeks 2 & 3 of #myselfiescrapbook. Schedule got tight yesterday I wasn't able to go to the print shop for my photos. (Just letting you know.)

Have a wonderful week ahead.

#myselfiescrapbook | WEEK ONE

I've been contemplating on creating a new mini but had no idea about what until I saw the IG post of Make Ideas Happen about this #myselfiescrapbook free class. Got interested right away. It's challenging since I don't document about myself. I seldom post photos of me on my social media accounts & I'd rather be at the back of the camera. But since life is short & I want my boys (& our next generations) to remember me when the time comes that I have to go, including myself in our photos became a goal for me. This project is teaching me to love myself, accept myself fully with all the flaws & be confident on who I am. So, this is an awesome project & I'm glad that Jen, Julie, Kellie, Mandy, Jessica & Jodie created this free class.

Yes, I 'm 2 weeks behind on posting my first week #myselfiescrapbook. I only get to go to the print shop once a month for my Project Life but because of this project I am having a weekend trip to the town for my photos. Looking at the participants' #myselfiescrapbook pages inspire me & I hope people would also be inspired with what I share about this project.

4x4 would be my go to size for this mini & I intended to use less embellishment as possible since I don't have enough materials on hand. Just like all my other minis, I don't mind if the colors of embellishment & papers mismatch. I initially typed my journaling on the photos but when the prints came out, I didn't like it. Good thing, we had to go back to the town the next day & had my photos reprinted without the typed journaling. Eventually, I opted to handwriting my journaling. It's another challenge for me since I'm not that good in writing (with the grammar & all) or in expressing my thoughts & emotions through writing.

Found an old round chipboard, cut it slightly bigger than 4x4 for the covers. I've been wanting to use vellum on my minis but I couldn't find any vellum here or I keep on forgetting to go to the big bookshop & look for the vellum. Here I used K's tracing paper, printed #myselfiescrapbook & cut to 4x4.

The journal card is a freebie for this class from Digital Design Essentials which I cut to 3x3.

The journal card I used here is from my store

This quote is from Ali Edwards from her Give Sunday on her blog & printed it on a 3x4 paper.

The journal card & the circle pattern here are from The Teal Lime Press as another freebie for the class.

FEBRUARY - MARCH PROJECT LIFE

Missed blogging about my February Project Life pages but here I am for both February & March.

Eversince I saw Kelley Purkey's 2015 Project Life I was curious to try 6x12 layouts. I was even thinking of changing my album into that size but I always want the Studio Calico new 9x12 album. Unfortunately, it's not available locally here in UAE & shipping would cost too high if I purchase abroad. On the other hand, I had to stick with my 12x12 since I already bought an album & some page protectors.

February
I only have a few photos for February so I decided to use Paislee Press' minimalist templates for 4x6 & 6x4. My pages looked clean without embellishments & I kinda liked how my pages turned out specially the 6x12 pages.

I inserted Yano's letter for me here. It's one of those things that I'd like to add once in a while between my Project Life pages.

March
Since I liked the clean look of my February Project Life, I continued to do it for this month. Instead of using Paislee Press' minimalist templates, I used the Collect App from my iPad on most of my photos while the rest I had them printed on 4x6. Added a little embellishment all throughout my pages & filler journal cards/papers. While you can already add journaling on the Collect App, I had some handwritten journaling incorporated throughout as well. I had a lot of white spaces but I liked it. I think I will carry this style in my future Project Life pages.

I used some of the digital products from Studio Calico (March 2013, Bluegrass Farm & Poet Society printables) to embellished some of the white spaces & other photos. I also used journals cards mostly from Studio Calico Odyssey kit & some from the past Project Life kits for this month.

Here I added the wet tissue pack, the receipt, & the placemat from the newly opened Philippines restaurant here in Al Ain. It was our first try here so I thought it would be nice to add it on my page as a filler. I also added as insert page the mothers' day cards the boys gave me (UAE had a different mothers' day date).

Thank you for dropping by. Hope I get to inspire you as I get inspired from other project lifers as well.
